We got invited to try out Drip'd recently, tucked away in Portswood and recently under new management. I truthfully didn't know what to expect from Drip'd but I was pleasantly surprised by just how friendly they were, how much of a vibe the restaurant was and ultimately how good the food was!

Firstly we kicked off with the burgers, ensuring we hit one of each category (Beef, Chicken and Veggie) to give them all a fair try. The Drip'd Special has double-smashed Black Angus beef patties, hickory smoked brisket, chipotle sauce and caramelised onions. The brisket here stood out to me, a really nice spice rub on it gave it such a nice flavour profile alongside the burgers.

The chicken burger we tried was the Buttermilk Bliss burger, a simple buttermilk fried chicken breast, black pepper mayo, and cheese. This seriously surprised me. It was so well cooked I initially thought it was chicken thigh! It was just that well cooked and juicy!

And for the veggie pals, the Halloumi Hustle was simply grilled halloumi paired with burger sauce, lettuce, and onion. Not too heavy with a good flavour throughout.

We couldn’t resist ordering the BBQ Baddie Fries, loaded with buttermilk chicken thigh, BBQ sauce, cheese, ranch, and jalapeños. These were seriously loaded, I ate them with a knife and fork (you kinda have to when they're that messy!) and each bite was the perfect amount of sauce, chicken and fries—the kind that feel so moreish.

Finally, the two desserts: the two Dubai specials. Pistachio, milk chocolate and Kadaif on top of your choice of waffle or fresh strawberries. The waffle was light, just the right amount to have after a heavy meal.

I can't finish this blog without mentioning the vibe either. Drip'd impressed me with their ambience, featuring a vibrant mural that blended art and food in a very eye-catching way!

They had some fantastic deals, like buy-one-get-one-free chicken burgers and 15% off for students, making it a great spot for everyone. Even without the deals the food seems reasonably priced! Worth a visit if you're in the area!
